BioActiv is a fuel enhancer that can be used on any diesel engine. It is made from a renewable resource having similar carbon chain structure as high quality petroleum diesel.  Low grade diesel fuel sold in certain countries that does not burn well can be very substantially enhanced by a blend of BioActiv to burn better and reduce harmful emissions. It also cleanses and restores engine condition with its use.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does BioActiv Diesel Enhancer improve the quality of petroleum diesel sold at gasoline stations?BioActiv reduces emission of visible smoke - hydrocarbon (HC) and particulate matter (PM). It contains oxygen that enhances rapid oxidation(combustion).

  • BioActiv is a lubricity enhancer.  As oil companies are mandated to supply low-sulfur diesel (500ppm sulfur limit), the lubricity value of diesel coming from sulfur is also removed. BioActiv gives low-sulfur diesel 36% better lubricity at 1% blend to prevent engine wear.

  • BioActiv has an excellent solvency and detergency feature that dissolves carbon build-up within the fuel system.

  • BioActiv contains no sulfur. It does not emit sulfur oxides that would otherwise cause toxic fumes and acid rain

  • BioActiv has a higher flash point of 114ºC (against 48ºC in petroleum diesel), making it safer to store and handle

  • BioActiv is completely biodegradable

How much should be used?

BioActiv can be used neat or blended with diesel at any ratio. It is simply a matter of economics for the user.   Blending 1-5% into the diesel will show immediate improvement on engine.

The ideal blend ratio will depend on the purpose:

  • First time Engine System Clean-up(20% blend or 4:1 ratio)

    - A higher blend ratio will quickly dissolve gum and carbon  deposits in the combustion chamber and in declogging fuel injection nozzles. A 20% blend will act like a liquid overhaul.

  • Quarterly Engine Maintenance(5% blend or 20:1 ratio)

    - Quarterly treatment of the engine with a 5% blend to declog and lubricate the fuel system for proper engine care and maintenance.

  • Regular Operational Use(1%-2% Blend or 100:1/50:1 ratio)

    - A 1%-2% blend in diesel fuel will minimize smoke emission, generate more mileage, and reduce maintenance cost.

Having a higher ratio will have a dramatic and more immediate effect on vehicle performance and emission levels.

Ongoing use at blend ratios of 1-5% will keep the engine running smoothly with lower emissions. Service intervals can be longer and improvement in fuel economy by 15% is common.

Are there side-effects to using BioActiv?

There is no risk of engine damage.  Once carbon buildup is flushed out of the engine, it simply regains power.  Fuel filters need to be inspected for trapped carbon deposits dissolved inside the fuel line.  Filters need to be replaced as necessary.Vehicles with old engines should be closely observed.  If the fuel nozzle orifice of the injectors are worn out or enlarged, the engine should undergo fuel injection calibration and nozzle tip replacement otherwise, a worn out and enlarged fuel nozzle will simply pump a rich fuel mix that will produce more smoke. Unburned fuel represents energy waisted seen as black or white smoke.

Can BioActiv be used to cure emission problems?

Yes. BioActiv can cure emission problems in two(2) ways. As a fuel enhancer, it substantially enhances rapid, complete and clean combustion. As an engine cleaner, it declogs fuel nozzles for more efficient fuel spray atomization, decarbonizing the combustion chamber, and lubricating the fuel pump and the fuel system.

For engine clean-up, BioActiv may be blended with diesel at 20%. It will clean-up the engine while in use. Another way is to feed pure BioActiv directly into the fuel pump bypassing the fuel tank. Use the engine continuously for 20 minutes for the clean-up to take place.

Observe the vehicle.  The operability of the vehicle should improve and the smoke emission dramatically reduced or completely gone.  Maintain a 1-5% blend each time the car is filled with diesel to keep emissions and smoke within regulatory limits.  Significant savings from better mileage and longer service intervals is direct benefit.

Is it more expensive to use BioActiv?

No.   The additional cost of the blend will be more than offset by the mileage gain which can run up to 25% depending on vehicle condition. Better fuel economy is attained. Usually, old vehicles and operators of public utility vehicles commercial fleet running more mileage per day will benefit the most.

What kind of savings can be expected?

The savings vary with vehicle condition and driving pattern.  Savings come from improved mileage; longer service intervals; better fuel efficiency; and prolonged engine life.  Compliance with the Clean Air Act’s smoke and emission testing is another cost saving.
